Bugatti is to Reveal its Supercar at Auto Show in March

Bugatti is going to unveil replacement for the Veyron supercar i.e., Chiron at the Geneva auto show in March.

The company has not release specifications and the performance details for the upcoming car, but said that it be “the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car.”

Bugatti has named the car after its most successful race driver Louis Chiron, who earned famed for winning most of the major grands prix in the late 1920s and early 1930s by driving Bugatti icons such at the Type 35 and Type 51.

Further, the automaker also claimed that it has already received more than 100 orders for the car—Chiron, that is equivalent more than one-fifth of the total production run of the Veyron.

“Our order book is already well filled,” Bugatti chief Wolfgang Duerheimer said in a statement. “And that’s despite the fact that our customers haven’t had the chance to experience the car’s fantastic performance yet.”

He said the styling would take cues from the Gran Turismo concept unveiled at the show, particularly “the very dominant center line, the lights and the door configuration.”

“The development brief for the Chiron can be summarized in one sentence … we want to make the best significantly better,” Duerheimer said.

As far as specifications are concerned, the car is powered by a version of the 1200-hp 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder turbocharged engine from the Veyron. Further, it is built to beat the performance of its predecessor that is regarded for its speed of 410kph (255mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100kph (0-62mph) in 2.6 seconds.
